Everest Volleyball Club, a rising contender in Nepali volleyball, beat Armed Police Force (APF) Club 3-1 at the National Sports Council covered hall in the 10th PM Cup NVL Womenâs Volleyball League. APF, one of Nepalâs top domestic teams known for its consistent success in previous seasons, struggled as Everest claimed three of four sets: 25-20, 16-25, 25-17, 25-16. Everest bounced back from an opening loss to last yearâs runners-up, Nepal Police Club. APF, after a win over perennial rivals Tribhuvan Army Club, could not sustain momentum aside from a brief second-set surge. The result highlights the closing gap between established departmental teams and emerging clubs.
New Diamond Sparkles in Dominant Opener

Their strong service and net play reinforced their title credentials. Sudurpaschim Volleyball Club, which has rapidly risen through the ranks in recent years, showed determination. The league, organised by the Nepal Volleyball Association, features six womenâs and eight menâs teams, all qualified through the Club Championship. The tournament runs through May 2 (Baisakh 19).
